Of the many variants to the ATM-09-ST Scopedog, the ATM-09-SSC Purple Bear was specially customized for use in the Battling arena combat game. The Purple Bear featured dual lenses rather than the standard triple lens, which provided greater depth perception. However, this increased perception was only effective in visibly light conditions. Because the Purple Bear was used in Battling, its only standard armament was the arm punch.
