The main mobile suit of the Jupiter Empire, the EMS-06 Batalla was designed with the intent of producing a machine that was both compact and high performance, with each part of its body having a specific purpose. The thrusters were mostly confined to the legs (specifically the thighs), allowing it to turn simply by moving its legs. The Batalla’s weapons were designed exclusively as handheld units, while the sensors were confined to the head and other functions were disseminated throughout the body, producing a machine with an overall slim profile. However, because it was intended to operate primarily in zero gravity, the Batalla’s legs were little more than landing gear and performed poorly when used to walk under standard gravity. The head’s dual sensor unit featured a visor for precision sighting, while the modular design of the body made it fast and economical to develop specialized variants simply by swapping parts, producing an efficient machine that meshed well with the Jupiter Empire’s lack of resources and manufacturing power.
