Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave (aka Eureka Seven TR1: New Wave) is a 3D action game released by Bandai for the Sony PlayStation 2 in 2005 in Japan and internationally in 2006. It is a prequel set two years before the Eureka Seven TV series. The story focuses on Sumner Sturgeon, a student at the New Wave military academy who becomes a military pilot and crosses paths with characters from the TV series. The game was followed one year by a sequel, Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision.
