SNRI’s “Formula Project” of the early UC 100s sought to miniaturize the Federation Forces’ mobile suits. This led to the development of the F7 bombardment type and the F70 Cannon Gundam. The Cannon Gundam’s beam cannons could be replaced with other armaments, and one such configuration was the B-Type, which mounted the weapons of the F90B Gundam F90 B-Type. These armaments included cannons, two 5-tube grenade launchers and four 3-tube large missile launchers. These features were not adopted in the scaled down mass production F71 G-Cannon.
