One of many F90 Gundam F90 optional armament variations developed by the Earth Federation Forces’ SNRI during the UC 0110s and 0120s, the F90S Gundam F90 S-Type (Support) was designed to act as a long-range, heavy fire support unit. Its primary armament was the pair of backpack-mounted railcannons, which were also attached to the shoulders for extra stability while being fired. Additional stability was also provided by a pair of slim, telescoping support legs mounted on the rear skirt armor’s weapon mount and which extended from the mobile suit’s rear down to the ground. More heavy firepower came in the form of 4-barrel beam cannons mounted over the forearms, each of which also had a 2-tube missile launcher attached to them. The S-Type also carried a pair of long-range cruise missiles, mounted on launch rails on the legs. With all of these features, the S-Type was well-equipped to perform heavy, long-range strikes and bombardments of enemy targets.
