One of many F90 Gundam F90 optional armament variations developed by the Earth Federation Forces’ SNRI during the UC 0110s and 0120s, the F90W Gundam F90 W-Type (Warbird) could transform into a flight mode not unlike the F90P Gundam F90 P-Type. The W-Type incorporated a trial Minovsky Drive in its backpack. The W-Type’s forearm attachments featured claw-like extensions that could function as landing gear. The W-Type could engage in combat in its flight mode thanks to the location of the backpack-mounted beam cannon. Its other armaments included standard vulcan guns, a beam rifle and beam sabers. During the Second Oldsmobile War in UC 0122, pilot Bergh Scred used the W-Type in aerial combat to fight off Oldsmobile Army forces attempting to prevent his shuttle launch.
