The GNMA-Y0001 Empruss was a prototype mobile armor that served as the basis for the GNMA-0001V Regnant. The Empruss was designed for aerial and space battles and featured overwhelming attack power thanks to weapons like the Large GN Cannon. Its claw arms mounted a pair of Egner Whips, which were capable of penetrating a GN Field and providing an electric shock to an enemy mobile suit and its pilot. Its other weapons included four GN Beam Cannons and GN Vulcan Guns. The Empruss entered limited production, but one unit piloted by Innovade Devine Nova was destroyed in 2312 during a battle with Celestial Being.
