Gundam Sentinel is a photonovel released exclusively in Japan from 1987-1988. Written by Masaya Takahashi, it was serialized in Model Graphix magazine. Set in UC 0088, it is a side story to the 1986 TV series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. The story focuses on the Earth Federation Forces’ Taskforce Alpha and their battles against renegade soldiers who have declared themselves the New Desides. Although Gundam Sentinel has never been adapted into anime, some of its mobile suits have appeared in other Gundam anime, manga and video games.
