HG-01 Hyper Gyanko was a custom Gunpla built by Tateo Sazaki. It used an “MS Girl” aesthetic and combined the likeness of his older sister Kaoruko (aka Gyanko) with the YMS-15 Gyan that was adored by his family. Hyper Gyanko’s armaments included a pair of missile shields, which like its anime inspiration could mount needle missiles and hide bombs. The shields, inherited from Tateo’s older brother Susumu, were mounted on flexible arms that allowed them to move separately. It was also equipped with beam sabers that were more powerful than typical sabers.
