Though the RPI-11 Glasgow was rapidly rendered obsolete by the march of progress, its usefulness had not completely ended. Several Glasgow units were modified by the Britannia Empire for use by the police forces in Area 11, which gave the police an edge against most criminals. The LE-E106 Knightpolice, as the modified unit was designated, used a pair of machine pistols as its primary weapons, though retaining the tonfa and slash harkens from its previous incarnation. A Knightpolice unit menaced the Order of the Black Knights when they attempted to raid a warehouse where the hallucinogenic drug Refrain was produced, and another was part of the SWAT team assembled by Black Knight leader Lelouch Lamperouge to confront fellow Geass-user Mao and rescue his benefactor/partner C.C.
