Technical and Historical Notes

Unquestionably the most unique mobile suit ever produced by the Principality of Zeon, the MS-06MS Barbus was designed not for human pilots, but monkeys. Based off of the MS-06F Zaku II, the Barbus imitated its simian operators by mounting two extra arms in place of legs. However, further modifications included magnetic coating and an upgrade to the reactor to allow it to wield the MS-14A Gelgoog‘s beam rifle. Despite its remarkable power, the Barbus was never used until nearly 60 years later, when the lost Satellite E was investigated by the Earth Federation Forces, and the remaining units (its monkey pilots having developed into Newtypes in the interim) were destroyed by the joint efforts of EFF ace Harrison Madin and space pirate Tobia Arronax.
