The MS-07G-1 Gouf Vijayanta was a variant of the MS-07B Gouf designed for breaching obstacles. The Vijayanta’s equipment reflected its role: the scissor wire was used for scaling high cliffs and the mines rod and removal mace could be used to clear obstructions. The Vijayanta also carried a Zaku machine gun, and its special equipment could also be used in anti-mobile suit combat. Some Vijayanta units were deployed alongside the MS-07G-2 Gouf Tactical Assault Type and saw combat in North America in November UC 0079.
