The development of anti-air mobile suits by the Human Reform League was only natural since its opponents, the AEU and Union, used flight-capable suits. The HRL’s solution was the MSJ-06II-AC Tieren Antiaircraft Cannon Type, known by soldiers in the field at the Ciwei (“hedgehog” in Chinese). The suit was mainly used to guard HRL’s military bases and the orbital elevator. The suit featured a combined reconnaissance system that contained radar and various sensors for detecting enemy units in the air. It could also receive information collected by unmanned aerial mobile armors.

Four 155mm x 50 caliber rapid-fire anti-air cannons were the suit’s main weapon. They were capable of firing 720 rounds per minute, or 12 rounds per second, and the muzzle velocity for each round could reach up to 1655 m/s (about Mach 5). In return for such performance, the cannons’ barrels wore out quickly and as a result, spare barrels were mounted on the back skirt armor. The shells fired by the anti-air cannons could have regular warheads, self-guided warheads or anti-aircraft warheads, and each type could have different fuses such as delayed explosion, proximity, or point blank, demonstrating varied attack methods. The anti-air missile launchers were usually loaded with standard missiles, but since the appearance of the Gundams (which rendered radar and heat detection/seeking unless), they were loaded with wire-guided missiles. The 60mm 6-barrel liquid-cooled vulcan gun w/carbon blade could also be used against ground targets. It had a liquid-based cooling system for more effective cooling as the heat produced by the weapon during rapid fire was more intense than that of the standard 200mm x 25 caliber smoothbore gun.
