In the UC 0110s-0120s, Mars-based Zeon remnants known as the Oldsmobile Army fielded a series of mobile suits that were modern versions of old designs used by the Principality of Zeon during UC 0079’s One Year War. One such in the RF (Refined) series was the OMS-18ERF RF Kämpfer, based on the Principality’s MS-18E Kämpfer and using the frame of the OMS-06RF RF Zaku. Compared to the original, the RF Kämpfer featured a quasi-psycommu system developed at Axis that was used to control four INCOM remote weapons. The suit’s other armaments included beam sabers, a heat wire, a 3-tube missile pod, a shotgun and a pair of sturm fausts. In UC 0116, an RF Kämpfer was piloted by Kitche Kitchener, leader of the Zeon remnant group NSP (New Summer Project). Kitchener led an attack on Side 4’s Frontier I colony and was defeated in combat by the F90N Gundam F90 N-Type. Kitchener then escaped on foot and attempted to detonate a portable nuclear warhead within the colony, but he was shot and killed in the process.
