The RGM-111NR Hardygun Night Raid was a night operations variant of the RGM-111 Hardygun. In this way, it was a successor to the concept behind the EFF’s old RGM-79V GM Night Seeker from the One Year War. Manufactured by Anaheim Electronics, it was designed to perform supersonic raids using a Minovsky Flight Unit, with the ability to directly transition to air or ground combat. Although Anaheim created the contemporary MSA-0120 Draig, it instead chose to model the flight unit of SNRI’s F90A Gundam F90 A-Type. The Night Raid was also equipped with enhanced sensors for night operation and to compensate for high concentrations of Minovsky particles. Its armaments included vulcan guns, mega machine cannons, a mortar cannon, beam cannons, machine cannons, a long beam machine gun, a beam rifle, a beam launcher and a shield. The Night Raid was streamlined and adopted by the EFF as the RGM-111NR2 Hardygun Night Raid Formal Type. In UC 0116, Rivera Amalgam of the EFF’s Wedjat Eyes team piloted a Night Raid with two Formal Types as his wingmen.
