The RGM-111Y2 G-Custom was a test mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics. Based on the RGM-111Y Proto Hardygun, it was equipped with the MSA-0120 Draig’s mega boost technology. To avoid the risk of a nuclear explosion when using the mega boost, a sub-generator was built into the Sturm Thruster Unit mounted on the backpack. If the sub-generator were to go out of control, the Sturm Thruster could be ejected and the mobile suit could continue operating normally. The Proto Hardygun’s sensors couldn’t keep up with the use of the mega boost, so the G-Custom instead used a head similar to the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam that also included a bio-sensor. Its armaments included vulcan guns, double beam guns, mega machine cannons, a missile launcher, a beam saber, a beam smart gun and either a regular or sniper beam rifle. The first prototype was completed at Anaheim’s Granada facility in UC 0114 and tested by Veronica Vernon. Two years later, Veronica piloted the G-Custom again as part of the EFF’s Wedjat Eyes team.
