The RGM-89R Jegan Fireball was a modified version of the RGM-89R Jegan Type R used by the Earth Federation Forces. The Jegan Fireball featured a different backpack with multiple thrusters of different sizes, along with two vernier arms that each equipped two thrusters. The Jegan Fireball’s armaments included a vulcan pod system, a pair of 2-tube grenade launchers and two beam sabers. In February UC 0112, William C. Orlando piloted the experimental Jegan Fireball in a test flight in North America. The backpack malfunctioned during the flight and exploded, resulting in Orlando’s death.
