The TSX-MA717/ZD Pergrande was a prototype mobile armor developed by the Azrael Conglomerate for the Earth Alliance. The Pergrande was equipped with several features originally found on ZAFT mobile suits, including the Neutron Jammer Canceler and DRAGOON weapons system. The DRAGOON system could only be used by pilots with heightened spatial awareness, so the Pergrande got around this issue by using three pilots to allow the DRAGOON beam guns mounted on detachable units to receive coordinates in three dimensions. A prototype unit was destroyed in battle by Serpent Tail mercenary Gai Murakumo in C.E. 71. Three years later, photojournalist Jess Rabble came under attack from several Pergrandes, which were destroyed by Gai and Canard Pars.
