During the course of the Bloody Valentine War, ZAFT created many variants of their mainline mobile suit ZGMF-1017 GINN for use in different environments. One such variation was the YF-3A GINN FEMWS (Fighter Experiment Maneuver in Water & Surface), which was heavily customized for amphibious combat. The GINN FEMWS was armed with a pair of torpedo launchers and rifle dart launchers. The GINN FEMWS’ customized appearance resembled the dedicated amphibious mobile suits that ZAFT later produced, such as the UMF-4A GOOhN.
