The sixth unit of the Earth Federation’s Tsentr Project, the YTA-06BW Cerberus was a real robot that specialized in ranged combat. It was powered by the experimental Terminus energy engine. Because of this, the machine was manned by two pilots: Hugo Medio and Aqua Centolm. Hugo handled the actual combat maneuvers while Aqua monitored the unstable TE engine. It was armed with several remote controlled machine gun pods, a coating sword, a radical railgun and the powerful Terminus cannon.

After the apparent theft of the YµP-05 Medius Locus, Hugo and Aqua took the Cerberus and chased after it. They were ordered to join the Federation’s Londo Bell task force to fight humanity’s other enemies while also searching for the Medius Locus. After several encounters with the Medius Locus, which was piloted by Hugo’s former mentor Albero Est and Aqua’s former mentor Eldy Middi, the Cerberus was defeated and its TE engine stolen. It then received an improved TE engine and was upgraded into the YTA-08BW Cerberus Ignite.
