Technical and Historical Notes

The ZGMF-1017Q GINN-R was a mass production unpiloted mobile suit used by the Kingdom of Foundation in C.E. 75. Foundation purchased old ZGMF-1017 GINN units from ZAFT to supplement its mobile suit forces. The “R” in the suit’s name was for “Remote” as the units featured new heads and chest parts to allow for remote operation. The GINN-R and the AMF-101Q/4 DINN-R were commonly used as escorts for Foundation’s Black Knight Squad.
