After creating the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal in AG 115, Flit Asuno spent the next quarter century upgrading the suit to keep pace with current technology. In AG 140, Flit handed down the AGE device to his son Asemu, who used the AGE-1 Normal in combat several times when the Vagan attacked the space colony Tordia. After Vagan infiltrators departed from the colony, the AGE-1 Normal was taken to Big Ring for repair and upgrade. The AGE System was removed from its chest and installed in Asemu’s new AGE-2 Gundam AGE-2 Normal. The redesignated AGE-1F Gundam AGE-1 Flat was modified to work without the AGE System and once again became Flit’s personal unit. During the battle against the Vagan mobile fortress Downes, the AGE-1 Flat was equipped with the Zefuld missile launcher. In AG 164, the aging mobile suit was upgraded once more into the AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Gransa.
