The AMX-101E Schuzrum-Galluss was a variation of the AMX-101 Galluss-J used during the First Neo Zeon War. The Schuzrum-Galluss was extensively modified for the purpose of breaking through enemy positions. Most of the unit’s armor was removed, and this combined with the use of an external cruising unit made it 50 percent lighter than the base Galluss-J. The Schuzrum-Galluss’ armaments included chain mines, a spike shield and magnet anchors. The spike shields, normally attached to the shoulders, could detach for use as handheld weapons during combat. The magnet anchors, mounted in the torso, could fire wires that helped the Schuzrum-Galluss attach itself to an enemy ship. During the Laplace Incident of UC 0096, one unit launched a direct attack on the Londo Bell battleship Nahel Argama.
