More than 300 years ago, Gjallarhorn created 72 Gundam Frames in an effort to fight off the existential threat of unmanned mobile armors during the Calamity War. Compared to standard mobile suits, these high performance machines each mounted two Ahab reactors. The Gundams also utilized the Alaya-Vijnana System, a man-machine interface in which plugs from the cockpit would connect to spinal cord implants protruding from the pilot’s back. This system allowed data to flow both ways between the Gundam and the pilot’s brain, and it also allowed for human-like movement. However, exceeding the system’s safety limits could permanently injure the pilot’s body. The names and model numbers of all the Gundams corresponded to the names and ranks of demons from the Lesser Key of Solomon. The ASW-G-64 Gundam Flauros was named after the demon Duke Flauros.

At some point after the Calamity War, the Gundam Flauros was abandoned on Mars alongside the unmanned mobile armor Hashmal. More than three centuries later, Tekkadan excavated the two units while managing a half-metal mine. The salvaged Gundam Flauros was sent to Teiwaz engineers at Saisei for repairs. Compared to Gjallarhorn’s other Gundams, the Gundam Flauros was unique in its ability to transform into a quadruped shelling mode, which improved stability when it fired its swappable railguns or short-barreled cannons. The railgun could also mount special Dainsleif rounds, which were fired at explosive speed by utilizing the full output of both Ahab reactors. The suit’s other armaments included two 120mm machine guns and two assault knives. The Gundam Flauros was assigned to Tekkadan pilot Norba Shino, who had its nanolaminate armor color adjusted to his preferred garish magenta, and he nicknamed the suit Ryusei-Go IV. The Gundam Flauros saw combat during the McGillis Fareed Incident, when Tekkadan joined McGillis in a rebellion against Gjallarhorn’s ruling Seven Stars families. The Gundam Flauros was damaged when Shino attempted to single-handedly destroy the flagship of Rustal Elion’s Arianrhod Fleet. Filled with rage over the lost opportunity, Shino charged in alone against the Arianrhod Fleet and was killed in a barrage of enemy fire.
