Technical and Historical Notes

The Blanc Rival was a Pegasus class assault carrier constructed by the Earth Federation Forces at its Jaburo base on Earth. Like other ships of its class, it was constructed from multiple blocks, including living quarters that featured an artificial gravity area. Differences in construction resulted in some Pegasus ships having radically different appearances. The Blanc Rival also utilized a Minovsky craft system, which allowed it to fly at low altitudes on Earth and escape unassisted from the planet’s atmosphere. In November UC 0079, the Blanc Rival was damaged when Zeon forces infiltrated Jaburo. However, the ship was repaired and participated in Operation Star One, the final battle of the One Year War that saw the EFF capturing the Zeon space fortress A Baoa Qu. In UC 0090, the Blanc Rival was still in service and escorted a mobile suit squadron led by Vasuki (aka ex-Titans pilot Yazan Gable) as it hunted the Sangre Azul, a mysterious Zeon ship that disappeared at the end of the One Year War.
