The CAMS-02 Catsith was the first mass production mobile suit developed by the Capital Army. It was rumored that the Capital Army received technical assistance from the nation of Gondwan on the Catsith’s development. The Catsith was designed for aerial combat and featured a backpack with wings that provided both high mobility and long-range cruising capability. The Catsith’s armaments included beam sabers, a beam rifle and a shield. Optionally, the Catsith could replace its leg-mounted beam sabers with up to 24 small missiles, or replace its shield with a missile pod. In addition to the standard version, the Capital Army also developed a Ground Battle Type.
