A parade is held at Drake’s castle Laas Wau for the returning Bern, Shou and Todd. Shou wonders why they would have a celebration like this after such a one sided attack. Another celebration is held in the courtyard of the castle, where Drake personally congratulates them, but tells Todd he expects more of him in the future. Shou wanders away from the celebration and meets a drunk Mi Ferario who wants to hear stories about Upper Earth. On the Zelana, Nie is upset over his mother’s death and the destruction of the mansion. Marvel thinks Shou will join them but Nie doesn’t think so. Chum arrives and informs them of the celebration at Laas Wau. There, Riml wonders how Nie and the Zelana are doing. While Shot and Zet work on designing more Aura Battlers they are met by Louser, who brings with her Bishot Hate, king of the land of Ku. Bishot thinks the morals of Byston Well are deteriorating and they need such weapons. Drake comes to see Riml, who used illness as an excuse to skip the earlier celebration. Shou rides out on his motorcycle and grabs Torou, the Ferario he met earlier. He tells Torou he’ll tell him stories of Upper Earth if he helps him see Riml. That night Torou arranges a meeting with Riml and then flies off, meeting Bern in the woods who promptly gets him drunk so he’ll reveal what’s going on. Shou sneaks over to Riml’s room and lets her know that Nie and the others escaped the battle safely. Riml asks Shou to help her escape Laas Wau and team up with Nie.
Bern rushes into Riml’s room and attacks Shou. He stops when Riml tells him that she invited him there to tell her stories of Upper Earth. Meanwhile Roman, working on the Dunbine captured from Todd is informed by Hon Wan, a Garou Ran. that Nie is in the Forest of Miro. Roman plans to meet with him there to provide him with supplies. Drake’s troops head out again to attack Given’s factory so they can both flush out the enemy and make them look like traitors to the land of Ah. Nie and Chum, spying on them, head back into the forest to the Zelana, which goes out to attack Laas Wau while the main force of the castle is gone. Back at Laas Wau Todd, who received a Drumlo to replace the Dunbine he lost, makes fun of Shou for what happened with Riml the night before. The Zelana arrives and Marvel heads out in the Dana O’Shee to attack. Garalia sends Shou and Todd out to defend the castle. Shou holds back in battle against Marvel and Nie, once again using the excuse that his controls won’t work. Shou heads to Riml’s room to help her escape. He grabs Riml in the Dunbine’s hands and flies off. Garalia sends Todd after Shou to stop him. Upon realizing Shou’s intentions, Todd attacks him, causing the Dunbine to drop Riml, who falls into the forest below. Marvel protects Shou from another attack by Todd and the Dana O’Shee crashes into the forest. Shou heads down there and is held at gunpoint by Marvel. She lowers he gun after he tells her what happened. Riml awakens in the middle of the forest where she hears scary sounds around her.
After three episodes of serving Drake, Shou decides to leave and brings Riml with him. Unfortunately for him, Todd finally starts doing well in battle, which results in Riml falling to the woods below. It’s not really a surprising move as Shou has been reluctant to serve Drake from the beginning. Although I’ve got to admit, Drake’s quite clever, building up his own forces while trying to convince the king that he’s righteous and Given is the traitor. Although not as good as the first two, this is still a pretty good episode.
