Thanks to investment from businesses such as the Yumekanou Group, Megazone 23’s military was able to construct the FX-101 as the flagship of its space fleet. The FX-101 was heavily armed with two main cannons, many machine guns and torpedo launchers, as well as a powerful reflection shield. Unfortunately, the ship contained a fatal design flaw: the high amount of time required to charge the cannons and acquire a target rendered them nearly useless. On its maiden voyage, the FX-101 and its escort fleet were wiped out by an attacking Dezalg force.
