The GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight was a custom Gunpla created by Kazami Torimachi, based on the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam from the 2002-03 anime TV series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Kazami decided to build a new Gunpla to replace the ZGMF-X19AK Gundam Justice Knight and chose another mobile suit piloted by Gundam SEED character Athrun Zala due to a memory of his father buying him the Gunpla as a child. The Gundam Aegis Knight expanded upon Kazami’s preference for using shields in combat, and its entire design followed the concept of being a shield for his entire team. The Aegis Knight retained the original’s ability to transform into a mobile armor with high-speed cruising and assault combat configurations.

The Aegis Knight’s armaments continued the knight aesthetic from its predecessor, with armaments like the KT-E05R Raitei Shot Lancer Kai, AS-1215 Aegis Shield and KT-R01B Laevatein Beam Rapier. Those armaments could combine to form the KT-HBS06GW Keraunos Hyper Beam Sword, a powerful weapon used during King Mode. Additionally, the assault combat mode could utilize the same energy cannon and four beam sabers featured in the original Aegis Gundam. When docked with his teammates to form the PFF-X7II/BUILDDiVERS Re:Rising Gundam, the extra parts from Kazami’s Aegis Knight could combine to form a Core Fighter. Kazami used his new Aegis Knight during the later stages of the conflict between the BUILD DiVERS and Alus, the artificial protector of the planet Eldora.
