The GBN-GF/RX78 GBN-Base Gundam was a guard Gunpla used by the GBN administration. It was a variation of the GBN-GF01 GBN-Guard Frame that equipped Gain Armor to make it externally resemble the RX-78-2 Gundam from the 1979-80 anime TV series Mobile Suit Gundam. The Gain Armor boosted the Gunpla’s capabilities compared to the GBN-Guard Frame. Like its anime inspiration, the GBN-Base Gundam’s armaments included vulcan guns, two beam sabers, a beam rifle and a shield.
