The GF13-017NJ/B Gundam Shining Break was a custom Gunpla created by the Diver Ark from Force ZA-∀Z. It was based on the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam from the 1994-95 anime TV series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Compared to its anime inspiration, Ark heavily modified the design by adding a flight mode called Shining Berkut. In contrast to the melee focus of the original, the Shining Break was armed with four vulcan guns, two beam sabers, a beam rifle and a shield. Ark omitted the armor expansion mechanism from the Super Mode, but he was eventually able to learn the special Shining Boost Finger technique. The Shining Break was originally painted white, but it gained a black color scheme when Ark became a Mass Diver and added illegal Break Decals to his Gunpla. After an encounter with Ain Soph, Ark abandoned Break Decals and returned the Shining Break to its original colors. Ark, along with his teammate Zen, participated in the combined effort to save GBN from glitched raid bosses following the second Coalition of Volunteers battle. Two years later, Ark participated in a restaging of the Lotus Challenge as a rehearsal battle to help Force BUILD DiVERS prepare for their final mission on Eldora. When Alus later invaded GBN from Eldora, Ark and Zen joined the battle to protect GBN.
