Macross: Flashback 2012 is a one-shot music OVA released in Japan in 1987. Directed by Shoji Kawamori, it is a compilation of footage from the 1983 TV series Super Dimension Fortress Macross and its 1984 film retelling Do You Remember Love? The old footage is interspersed with new scenes depicting Lynn Minmay’s final concert on Earth before departing on the new colonization ship Megaroad-01. The OVA has streamed on Big West’s official Macross YouTube channel, but it has never been released on home video in North America.
