Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? is a theatrical film released in Japan in 1984. It is an alternate retelling of the 1982 TV series Super Dimension Fortress Macross. Co-directed by Noboru Ishiguro and Shoji Kawamori, the movie was written by Sukehiro Tomita and featured mechanical designs by Kawamori and Kazutaka Miyatake, character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto and a score by Kentaroh Haneda. Like the TV series, the story focuses on Hikaru Ichijyo, a young Valkyrie pilot on the Macross, which is fighting for survival against the Zentradi and Meltrandi. The film has been released on home video in North America in censored and uncensored versions, but has been out of print for over two decades.
