The MS-06R-AB Zaku Amazing was a custom Gunpla built by Tatsuya Yuuki. It was based on the MS-06R-1A Zaku II R-1A from the 1983 design series MSV, but featured the red paint scheme used by Zeon ace pilot Char Aznable. Yuuki heavily customized the base Zaku II unit by adding new armor pieces, weapons and a new backpack, which could all combine into a support craft called the AB-01 Amazing Booster. Yuuki armed the Zaku Amazing with handguns, heat natas, rocket launchers and a long rifle. He intended the Zaku Amazing to serve as his unit in the 7th Gunpla Battle World Championship, but his life was forever changed when he was selected to serve as the third Meijin Kawaguchi. Before taking on the title, he engaged in a fierce Gunpla Battle with Sei Iori and Reiji’s GAT-X105B/FP Build Strike Gundam Full Package. The intense battle saw both sides reduced to fighting with their support craft, but Yuuki ultimately won. As the Meijin, he remodeled the Gunpla and added two alternate configurations: the MS-06R-ABM Zaku Amazing Marine and MS-06R-ABR Zaku Amazing Rapid.
