Despite the late introduction of the MS-14A Gelgoog in the One Year War, multiple units were customized for individual pilots. One such unit was painted all silver and piloted by Herbert Von Kuspen, who commanded his own battalion of pilots. The Kuspen Battalion was attached the 603rd Technical Evaluation Unit ship Jotunheim near the end of the war. Kuspen’s forces participated in the Battle of A Baoa Qu, where he was killed in action.
