The MSZ-008X2 ZZ II was a custom Gunpla built by Minato Sakai. It was based on the MSZ-008 Z II from the 1985-86 design series Z-MSV. The ZZ II retained the original design’s waverider mode for high mobility attacks. The ZZ II’s armaments included a hyper long rifle that could generate a long beam saber, vulcan guns, two beam sabers, two beam bazookas and an HM cannon. The beam bazookas and HM cannon could fire simultaneously to perform a special attack known as the Tri Burst. Sakai used the ZZ II in combat at a Yajima Trading island facility where Plavsky particles were causing Gunpla to move out of control.
