By late C.E. 73, the Orb Union had introduced the transformable MVF-M11C Murasame to replace the MBF-M1 M1 Astray. In addition to the standard model, Orb also produced a Murasame Reconnaissance Type. The Recon Type added a sensor radome, mounted on the backpack. The Recon Type’s armament was identical to the standard type, with the exception of the Type 72 high-energy beam cannon, which was removed to accommodate the radome.
