The Destroid Phalanx Custom was a successor to the SDR-04-Mk.XII Destroid Phalanx used by U.N. Spacy during Space War I. Compared to the original, the Phalanx Custom featured roller wheels in its feet for improved mobility. Its armaments included a torso-mounted cannon and four missile pods as its arms. The Phalanx Custom was deployed on Earth to defend U.N. Spacy headquarters during the Mardook War in 2092.
