The QF-3000E Ghost was a mass production drone fighter manufactured by Northrom for use by U.N. Spacy. First deployed in 2004, the QF-3000E was an improvement over the previous model, the QF-2200D (which included an A-type and B-type). As a drone fighter, the Ghost was AI-controlled. Its armaments included six internally mounted Mauser 55mm machine guns, as well as 12 Bifors multipurpose missiles. At the outset of Space War I in February 2009, Ghosts were deployed to the Macross and ARMD carriers, but few survived the war. Development on the unmanned Ghost line continued with the experimental AIF-X-9 Ghost in 2040, which was abandoned after the Sharon Apple Incident. Further developments led to the AIF-7S Ghost used by New U.N. Spacy and the private military company SMS in the late 2050s.Â
