Due to the complexity of blueprints generated by the AGE System, Earth Federation Forces engineers attempted to compensate for this by reverse engineering mobile suits created by the AGE System. The RGE-G2000X Prototype Clanche was the prototype for a mass produced version of the AGE-2 Gundam AGE-2 Normal. In addition to serving as the prototype for the RGE-G2100 Clanche, it was also the Earth Federation Forces’ first attempt at creating a mobile suit for X-Rounders. However, the Prototype Clanche’s development was plagued by multiple issues. Large movable wings on the shoulders attempted to replicate the main wings of the AGE-2 Normal’s G-Strider mode, but was troubled by output control failure from the beginning. A dedicated work system for these parts was created, but the end product’s performance was far inferior to that of the AGE-2 Normal’s, and this led to the halt in their production. Limits in the Earth Federation Forces’ production and processing technology also prevented the full replication of the AGE-2 Normal transformation mechanism in a mass production suit, forcing the developers to settle for a compromise. The hyper DODS rifle mass production type was created through reverse engineering the AGE-2 Normal’s rifle. It had lower power than the original due to production problems like manufacturing precision/accuracy, etc.
