The RVF-171EX Nightmare Plus was a reconnaissance variant of the anti-Vajra VF-171EX. It was equipped with a large radome and a ventral antenna. In 2059, SMS pilot Luca Angeloni briefly used an RVF-171EX, although its capabilities were lower when compared to his regular unit, the RVF-25 Messiah.
