The RX-9/A Narrative Gundam A-Packs was a special equipment version of the RX-9 Narrative Gundam designed to capture the runaway RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex. Due to the Narrative Gundam lacking any armaments beyond basic vulcan guns, the rest of its weapons in that mobile armor-like configuration were part of the A-Packs parts. The A-Packs were equipped with four external large boosters, allowing it to nearly match the speed of the Phenex. It was also equipped with a pair of psycho capture units that could trap the Phenex by interfering with its psycho waves and immobilizing it in an energy field. Its armaments included a pair of beam sabers, a high mega cannon, two large beam sabers and six 5-tube missile pods. In UC 0097, pilot Jona Basta was deployed in the Narrative Gundam A-Packs to engage the Phenex in Side 4’s shoal zone. The A-Packs equipment was damaged during the course of the battle, and some of it was subjected to a strange effect of the Phenex’s psycho waves where it reverted to a state prior to its assembly. Due to the Phenex being piloted by Jona’s friend Rita Bernal, he hesitated to fire the high mega cannon and allowed the target to escape. For its next mission, the suit was reconfigured as the RX-9/B Narrative Gundam B-Packs.

Some Fan Art I made back in 2018 of my favorite Mobile Suit from Gundam. Still love the one-eyed design, stands out and still looks great. I've also included some process. #gundam #zaku #mobilesuit
