The RX-零/覚醒 RX-Zeromaru (Shinki Kessho) was an upgraded version of Ayame’s RX-零 RX-Zeromaru. As part of the improvements, the support bird mecha was upgraded into the Armed Armor Hattori Kiwami, which was capable of combining with the RX-Zeromaru in both Shinobi and Kakure forms. New weapons included the Gokucho Ozutsu, a bazooka-like weapon that could combine with either the beam Zanbato or Tanegashima rifle. Three Dai Kunai could launch normal kunai or function as shields, or combine into the Sanpo Dai Shuriken. Between the upgrades and the coloring of the psychoframe, the Shinki Kessho resembled the RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam from the 2010-14 OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
