Using data from the development of the STH-05 Hyakuren and STH-14s Hyakuri, the Teiwaz conglomerate created the new Io Frame and a general purpose mass production suit, the STH-16 Shiden. Despite the new frame design, the Shidens were powered by Ahab reactors salvaged from the debris zone. The Shiden was intended for group use and was designed for adaptability by using interchangeable equipment in different environments. Although newer than both the Hyakuren and Hyakuri, the Shiden’s performance was still inferior to Gjallarhorn’s EB-06 Graze Standard Type. The Shiden’s head featured multiple highly sensitive sensors, and a visor protected the main camera. The Shiden’s armaments included a gauntlet, a rifle, a partizan, a bladed bat and a riot shield. The Shiden was in high demand with Teiwaz subsidiary Tekkadan, which served not only to advertise the suit’s performance, but also provided a wealth of field combat data back to Teiwaz.
