The UGY-R41 Man Rodi was a space combat mobile suit used by multiple organizations, including the Brewers space pirates. Despite the Man Rodi’s heavy armor, it had high mobility thanks to thrusters on its back, rear skirt armor and legs. The units used by the Brewers were piloted by human debris children using the Alaya-Vijnana System. Each forearm mounted a wire hook that could be used for grappling or as an anchor. The Man Rodi’s armaments included a pair of vulcan guns, several hand grenades, and a 90mm submachine gun. Its main melee weapon was a hammer-chopper, which featured a built-in thruster that enhanced its slashing power and provided thrust when thrown. In P.D. 323, the Brewers encountered Tekkadan in an asteroid field. In the resulting battle, Tekkadan captured multiple Man Rodis and liberated their child pilots. After Tekkadan established an Earth branch, they modified the captured mobile suits to work on the ground; these units were redesignated as the Landman Rodi.
