In 2041, Shinsei Industry began mass production on the VF-19A Excalibur, the new main variable fighter used by U.N. Spacy. Over the next few years, variant designs entered service with planetary defense forces and long-distance emigration fleets. One such variant, the VF-19P, was in use by 2047 with the Zola Patrol, which was dedicated to stopping the illegal poaching of galactic whales. The VF-19P’s armaments included anti-aircraft laser machine guns in the head and wings, a bulletproof shield, a pinpoint barrier system and two micro-missile launchers. In 2047, a VF-19P was customized with the addition with speaker units and used by Basara Nekki, the lead singer of Fire Bomber. While confronting whale poachers and the whale hunter Graham Hoyly, Basara’s VF-19P was stained red with whale pollen, which made it resemble the VF-19 Excalibur Custom (aka Fire Valkyrie) that he piloted during the Protodeviln War.
