The Beehive was a modified Columbus class transport ship used by the Earth Federation Forces’ Moore Brotherhood volunteer force during the One Year War. The Beehive essentially combined the frames of two Columbus ships, creating double the storage space for mobile suits. The ship was armed with six large mega particle cannons. The Beehive served as the mothership of the Moore Brotherhood, which was fighting Zeon forces for control of its ruined colony cluster at Side 4. The Beehive was heavily damaged during a Zeon attack, leading Capt. Claudia Peer to order all hands to abandon ship. First Officer Graham then shot Claudia over his anger about her failures as a commanding officer. Survivors of the Beehive took control of the Zeon ship Dried Fish, but were subsequently captured when Zeon reinforcements arrived. The prisoners were then transported to the space fortress A Baoa Qu, but FA-78 Full Armor Gundam pilot Io Fleming escaped and rescued his comrades.
