The quantum computer Veda stored an alternate plan for Celestial Being’s armed interventions in which Innovades acted as Gundam Meisters and used the CB-001 1 Gundam and CBY-077 GN Cannon. Innovade mastermind Ribbons Almark, not wanting to rely on his comrades, fused the two designs into the CB-0000G/C Reborns Gundam. The Gundam mode’s versatility was similar to the design of the GN-001 Gundam Exia. The Cannon mode was specialized for long-range firing and was designed from the same base data as the GN-005 Gundam Virtue. Its head sensor was of the same series as the GNX-607T/BW GN-XII Cannon. The suit initially featured a Tank mode, but this option was removed after Ribbons was provided data on the Twin Drive System by Anew Returner.

The Reborns Gundam utilized all of the Innovades’ accumulated technology and could operate independently of Veda, thus leaving it unaffected by the Trial System. The Reborns Gundam’s armaments included a GN Buster Rifle, which could receive GN particles directly from the arm-mounted GN Drive Tau. It also featured Large GN Beam Sabers that were usable only in Gundam mode. The suit also made use of Small GN Fin Fangs stored in the shield that were difficult to intercept due to their size. The fangs served a dual function as beam sabers. The Large GN Fin Fangs also doubled as beam cannons in Cannon mode. The Cannon mode’s Egner Whips could fire smaller cables from the tip of each finger/claw. The whips were capable of penetrating a GN field and delivering an electrical shock to an opponent. The whips were designed to damage both the precision machinery inside a suit as well as its pilot.

The Reborns Gundam made its combat debut in 2312 near the end of the conflict with the Innovators. Ribbons single-handedly took on multiple opponents before facing off in a one-on-one duel with Setsuna F. Seiei’s GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser. Both suits were heavily damaged in the fierce battle, which ended with Ribbons stealing one of the 00 Raiser’s GN Drives. He used the stolen drive to power the abandoned GN-000 0 Gundam, while the other drive was placed inside Setsuna’s GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II. The duel resumed, but Setsuna ultimately emerged as the victor.
