The FF-1F Vollhog was a small space fighter used by the Hatte Defense Force in Side 2. Its basic structure resembled the Lunar attack craft FF-1F Hog, which was deployed during the Battle of Mare Smythii. Because the Vollhog was designed for patrol duty in and around space colonies, its vertical main wings were adapted for high-speed flight under atmospheric pressure. It was armed with a recoilless cannon that could fire while the vehicle was in motion. Due to the Vollhog’s limited flight and offensive capabilities, it stood no match for the Principality of Zeon’s mobile suits when the One Year War broke out in January UC 0079.
