The GH-001RB Grimoire Red Beret was a custom Gunpla built by the Diver Rommel of Force 7th Panzer Division. It was based on the GH-001 Grimoire from the 2014-15 anime TV series Gundam Reconguista in G. The Red Beret was highly customized to improve its versatility and emphasized firepower and toughness over balance, meaning it could only be properly utilized by a skilled Diver like Rommel. New features included the addition of wheels on the feet to allow in line dashing. The Red Beret’s backpack could also house two Minimoire support mecha, which could function as reconnaissance and offensive units. The backpack could be swapped out for the Tiltrotor Pack, which allowed flight and featured optional weapons like two missile pods, two cannons and a pair of chainsaws. The Red Beret’s standard armaments included an assault rifle, three plasma knives, a shield and leg-mounted scissor claws. The assault rifle had the added feature of disassembling to function as a submachine gun and pistol. Rommel led the 7th Panzer Division in battle as finalists of the 14th Gunpla Force Tournament, although the victory ultimately went to Kyoya Kujo’s Force Avalon. The 7th Panzer Division later joined the Coalition of Volunteers to stop the spread of Break Decals, and later to fight Force Build Divers over the EL-Diver Sarah, whose existence threatened GBN. Two years later, Rommel participated in a restaging of the Lotus Challenge as a rehearsal battle to help Force BUILD DiVERS prepare for their final mission on Eldora. When that final mission resulted in Alus invading GBN from Eldora, Rommel joined the fight to protect GBN.
